We had one meeting and now it is time for a follow up meeting. 
The topic:  Instant Runoff Voting (aka, Ranked voting or Preference Voting)
 
No more spoilers, no more wasted votes.  Just honest elections!
 
Now is the time to reach out of elected officials at all levels of government and candidates running for those offices with the message that we need an alternative to plurality voting which does not produce election winners with majority support, unless they go though the expensive run-off process.  The better way is Instant Runoff Voting.
 
If you have ever felt that you wanted to vote for someone other than a major party candidate but didn't do it because you felt it would be a wasted vote.  If you have even felt forced to vote for the lesser of two evils, then you need to join the effort to use Instant Runoff Voting.
 
Come to our next meeting and find out what you can do.  Join with others and have other FUN with political action.
 
The next meeting is next Tuesday, August 19th, 7 PM at the First Unitarian Church on SW 12th Ave between Salmon and Main Streets.
